This includes making decisions about their child’s education, health care, values, and overall well-being.  Parents should have a voice in school-related decisions, and be able to guide their child’s development. Parental rights emphasize that parents are the main decision-makers in a child’s life, with a duty to act in the child’s best interest. 

Quality public education in making certain all students master the basics—reading, writing, and math—first. Strong fundamentals, supported by good teachers and resources, set students up for success.
